With the Combatting Hate Act, Bail and Sentencing Reform Act, and Protecting Victims Act now law, our government has passed three major bills to strengthen Canada’s criminal laws and keep Canadians safe.
Together, these laws deliver stronger hate crime protections, stricter bail, tougher sentences, better protections for victims and stronger laws to keep children safe from predators.
These reforms are part of our government’s commitment to strengthen the Criminal Code, support the front lines, and invest in long-term prevention to make communities safer.
